1938-40, Palpung, from Situ Rinpoche:[1] Djamgön Kongtrül Lodrö Thayes Ka gyü Nag Dsö and Dang Nag Dsö (b Ka.' brGyud. sNgags, mDzod and gDams. Ngag. mDzod) and Kālachakra. Namshe Yeshe and she dja kün khyab (she bya kun khyab, The Science of All-embracing Knowledge); Gya Tchen Ka Dsö (rgya chen bka' mdzod, Eng: The Treasure House of Comprehensive Teachings); the works of Marpa, Milarepa, and Gampopa and the Indian Mahāmudrā lineage holders; the empowerments, explanations, and readings on Mahākāla Bernatchen (Ber Nag Can, Black Cloak), Gyalwa Gyamtso (rGyal Wa rGya mTsho, Victorious Ocean), Dordje Phagmo (phag mo, Skt. : Varahi, diamond sow or red wisdom) and Kye Dordje (Tib.: kye rdo rje, Skt.: Hevajra). Teachings on Öser Korsum (Cod zer skor gsum, The Jewel Rays, Sun Rays and Moon Rays), (TT), as well as the Bodhicharyavatara, the Uttaratantrashastra, and Sabmö Nang (Zab mo nang gi don gsal bar byed pa'i 'grel pa, Dt: The Deeper Inner Reality), Thirteen Tantras of Marpa; Collected Works of All the Karmapas, Shamarpas, and Situpas; Empowering the Hundred Wrathful and Peaceful Deities, Gyutrül Shitro (BD[2]), the Vinaya Sūtra, the Prajñāpāramitā texts, the Abhidharmakośakārikā, the Cakrasaṃvara Tantra, and other teachings under the guidance of Djamgön Kongtrül and Beru Khyentse Rinpoche. (DW) Tentrul Rinpoche also gave him teachings on the treasure house of knowledge and also transferred to him a large portion of the 24 volumes of the new treasures, Tchokling Tersar. Winter 1941/42, Tsurphu, by Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche: Dzogt desum as well as the entire(?) transmission of the Chokling Tersar, a terma of the Tertön* Tchokgyur Lingpa.[5]
1944, Gangri Tulkar (retreat site of Longchenpa) by Lochen Lama (to be verified Lochen Shugseb Rinpoche, reincarnation of Machigma, who had her nunnery not far from Lonchenpa’s place: Padampa Sangyes Shidje and some Nyingtig* transmissions (KK).

Karmapa (lung sems gnyis med; A Brief Written Tradition, Jhi Thung (khrid thung); The Six Teachings, The Essence of Ambrosia, Chö Dug Dü Zi Nying Khu (chos drug bdud rtsi nying khu,); The Father-Mother teachings of the secret essence, Sang Thig Yab Ka Yum Ka (gsang thig yab bka' yum bka'); The peaceful and wrathful prayer chain, Shi Theng Dag Threng (zhi phreng drag phreng); The Purba of the Seven Profundities, Sab Dün Pu Pa (zab bdun pur pa); A Terma of Tchog Ling (mchog gling); The Empowerment Guhyasamājatantra of the Eight Chapters; The Wrathful Overcomer of Demons, Tag Sham Dü Dül Dag Mo (stag sham bdud 'dul drag mo); The Long-Life Sadhana "The Union of Method and Wisdom, Tche Dub Thab She Kha Jor (tshe sgrub thabs shes kha sbyor). On this occasion, Situ Rinpoche probably prophesied that he would become a great authority on meditation instructions. (TT)

August 1949 to August 1950, Tsurphu, from Djamgön Kongtrül Rinpoche: Rintchen Terzö, the Six Dharmas of Naropa and all other extraordinary teachings. Djamgön Kongtrül Rinpoche transmits the ultimate lineage "like a father leaving the inheritance to his son." (KK)

1] The sources partly contradict each other concerning who exactly transmitted what. Some of the transmissions mostly attributed to Situpa may have been given to Karmapa by Djamgön Kongtrül (see BD: Karma Tupten, Yeshe Gyamtso (transl.): The Light of Dawn: A Brief Biography of the Second Barway Dorje, Kunzang Palchen Ling 2012)) and Beru Khyentse Rinpoche.
